Sorry For Late Post... Comcast And I Will Never Be Close..

I was ready to post a melange of food offerings, when all my Internet service, land line phone, and cable TV shit the bed! I recently signed up with a package through Comcast, (that saved me money!) where they provided all that.. I guess I didn't realize the risk of being with one company for all the stuff I needed that I mentioned! It went down.. I was nice... promises were made.. Nothing happened...
Most of you don't know me, but I am like David Banner, and the Incredible Hulk! I am the nicest man you might meet, until you actually manage to Royally Piss Me Off! The third time I called, I had officially turned green, and was very large- and pissed! Ask for a Higher Up when you get that mad, and also get names... Ask for a verbal contract(You said this would happen, and when!) Point out you have been wronged, did nothing to deserve this, and tell them in a controlled, but unmistakably peeved voice- you have been wronged, and ain't gonna take it lying down!
I would not currently been on the Internet writing this, if all that didn't work! Made friends with the techs that came out, even my guard dog loved them, after I let them in! Gave them a pack of my home made beef jerky, too! Credits for lost service are coming, and even when mad- I can make friends...
A pent-up bunch of food posts, due to aforementioned issues- but here we go!
There is a photo of what left over beef and barley soup look like with a cheddar and turkey grilled sandwich, also beef jerky under production.. then a cantalope(muskmelon!) filled with home-made tuna fish salad, some snacky, buttered up popcorn(Bina and Beth!) and finally- the potato casserole(mashed taters, cream cheese, spices, butter, sour cream, and onions) and a beef-pork meatloaf- classically "Diner" seasoned!
Apologize to any I have not commented , or answered lately... blame the Devil named Internet! A good week wished to all, by your friend, the Buff!

I am the mistress of getting what I want when I pay the bills. You should have heard the go-round with UPS when they cashed my check and still cut my service for non-payment. It cost them 5 overnights. I can't begin to name the number of times my dearly beloved has turned hulk green, either. And "Let me talk to your supervisor. Oh, he's not in? How about your supervisor's supervisor?" goes a long way. Say "class action" to a big corporation and they run in fear. But, you doubtless know all that. Glad you're back to the "real" world.

I cant resist BD, Id love to see you grow large. You asked for it with that line....

Sorry for your misfortunes, so freaking aggravating isnt it!! Love the sound of your mashed potato caserole and great idea using the canteloupe as a bowl for the tuna salad!!

Marjie- With the household the size of a small corporation, I do not doubt your capabilities- and admire them!
Donna- You have a talent... Don't ever stop being you...

Marmy- I make it a point to eat pork, as I know it cheeses you off! If you stop talking about it- I'll stop eating it so much... Your Beloved Dinklet, The Buff...

Eating at your house is a feast for the senses. I practically drool at all of your creations.

As for the Triple Play, which I'm guessing you had, I've heard nothing but horror stories about it. I do have comcast internet and comcast tv but I'm perfectly happy with my good old AT&T land line. If it ain't broke...

But Comcast can be a nightmare to deal with when something goes wrong for me.

Just telling it like it is said...

Buffalo: let's put comcast on the list...you know that list that bad service goes on.. yeah that one. Are my eyes failing me cause thought cantalops look kind a like boobs...

Well, I'm glad to have you back and tempting us with your sinful photos. So THAT'S what beef jerky looks like out of the package. ;)

I've never tried it, but I can just imagine what your homemade must taste like! Yum...

PS - Nice cantaloupes! ;)

BlueV- I learned, through many moons of being a salesman- your company will make you a liar.. Most of my battles in my career were not with the customer, but with the company I represented..
Darngirl- Glad you're back! From watermelons to fried eggs on a nail, I like women and their...presentations!
Scarlet- Have had words with your writer friend... Hope we are on the same page now!

Dr Mr Hulk,

Comcast lost our service years ago for the exact type of service you mention. They could not keep our internet running. It would literally crash 10-20 times a night.

The bad thing is they kept sending out techs each time who had no idea of what had been tried before their service call. They replaced 4 modems that burnt out (in 2 months), the guts to the "doghouse" (green cable box in neighborhood), and other stuff, yet each time, they started back at the beginning. I had to tell them, "No, we DON'T need a new modem, the upload stream is coming in at xxx and the downstream is yyy. Your previous techs have tried aaa, bbb, and ccc." It was maddening.

I told them if they didn't even care about their customer service, this approach of not briefing their techs of previous repair attempts was raising their cost of business.

The total lack of response from them has forever turned me off of Comcast.

I don't think it ever would have occurred to me to put tuna salad in a cantaloupe. It looks pretty.

Glad all is well. Happy blogging. Sounds like you went through a little blog withdrawal. Hurts doesn't it!!!

good to have you back!

I really wish you were closer and could invite me over for dinner hah.

why did you call a cantaloupe a muskmelon?

Ahhhh...I just had a cantelope with some sugar-free Breyers Butter Pecan in the middle!!!

Serenity now brother...Serenity now

Hey--we make those exact same potatoes! My mom calls them "Party Mashed Potatoes," which is a pretty excellent name.

Everything looks good--sorry comcast gave you such a hassle! I am AWFUL when it comes to chewing out service people. I just kind of stutter and stammer and say, "not fair!"

I shouldn't read your post this early in the am before eating breakfast...um if only I could reach in and grab a bite...:D

Recently, I had some fun with my Verizon Fios guys...NOT!! But, I had to play dumb because my dog chewed the cable 2x...LOL The crew had to come out 3x's!!

Finn- Being in sales for a life time, I learned from the good ones in purchasing departments, how to handle complaints- and how to complain with the greatest results!
KB- Open up the category, I'll tell you a joke!
Chris- Being friendly, and not fixing the problem only works once! We are pondering an extra computer- a laptop!
Kate- Chicken salad, tuna, ham, all work well!
Hit40- Well if the computer doesn't work, you watch TV, and visa versa! When they both don't work, you're forced to talk to your spouse!
MrC- Around here, it is the regional name for cantalope!
G-man- I'm way better than I used to be... Imagine Donald Duck flippin' out in those old cartoons..
Tavolini- My wife, when resolving a problem, will always add; "Please take care of this, as you really don't want to hear from my husband"...

buffalodick said...

Lulda- I was afraid after making the noise I did, it would end up being something simple I wasn't doing right- but it was their fault after all!

Katherine- I didn't get your E-mail, and DogB sent me five I didn't get! I think my system is reading some E-mails as spam (and the only thing I can think of that you two have in common is that you're part of Foodbuzz) , and not letting them in... Glad you liked the mustard, thought you'd find the shirt funny!
Megan- The potatoes were so rich, they needed no gravy or butter...
Lilu- Why is it some people respond to kindness, when others prefer an ass-kicking?

I am not commenting on 'that' internet stuff, as to not jinx me! But hubby does use a satellite card he gets at work so if that was to happen he still can work from home, and use our laptops.

I see two melons that resemble eyes and one of my favorites knives that look like a smirk, not really a smile...is that what you looked like when it happened? :) no its :|

I can see that stack of bacon of the last post calling out to me...I love beef barley soup, and all the rest of this food looks good...

Lately at night I have turned on Food Network and they have shown many cookoff's...how they are put together, ran, and judging...I think of you! One guys was using trash cans to smoke his meats, and pretty proud too, except when he said people would come by and lift the lid and throw trash in...

Your also right, I read your last comment on the bacon post, and I do get pretty selfish since my daughter died...through teaching those kids I am trying to keep my mind on what really matters...thanks!

I'm getting a little soured on the contests.. I missed some this year, and haven't done as well as in the past, because the judging is pointing more to making the contests popular and profitable- instead of fair. One time, in K.C. Mo we went to Gate's- a lower cost almost fast food BB-Q joint(not fancy!)I asked them why they didn't compete in contests, as I loved their food.. Woman answers, "We got nothin' to prove, and not winning would just make us look stupid".. It took a lot of time- but she made perfect sense!

what a pain in the ass! sbcglobal (att) not much better. technology has had me so angry at times that I have almost tossed my cell phone out the car window in addition to taking out my computer with a baseball bat. I get thissss close to doing it. but don't. amazing how swear words can make you feel better.
