Dinner And A Better Picture....

Earlier, when I took a photo of my sons' new girlfriend, it didn't look as good as she does! She was squinting into the sun, so I offered to post a better photo of her soon... Of course, my son then decides to not shave for a couple of days...
The meal was a marinated center cut pork loin and Au gratin potatoes... With rolls, sauteed mushrooms, and brownies for dessert- we were OK... I use alot of disposable pans when making food that likes to stick to a regular pan ( which makes clean up harder!). Enjoy your week-ends... I'm way behind on paperwork again...

Happy Friday! What a cute couple!

You can cook for me ANYTIME! Sounds delish. And amen on the throwaway pans.

I thought the other photo was very nice but I hate photographs of myself so I know how she must have felt if she didn't like it. Your son looks good with designer stubble ((wink))

mm. brownies.

stubble is ALWAYS a good choice, BD.

Stubble works for me.

She's quite purty!

I need details about the marinade! I'm starving! These pictures are both salvation and torture...

Man that looks yummy.

Finn- Your sex drive is impressve!
Beth- Yours is a standing invitation, don't act like you're not welcome anytime..
Bina- That hair was one day past scruffy!
Lini- 1st comment- They looked and tasted good! 2nd comment-You behave!
R.L.L.- Those pans work like mad, when you have to cook a gooey dish, and don't want clean-up time to go on forever!
Ake- I'm starting to think you women like a guy that doesn't know how to shave...
Tanya- I always knew you would pick younger dirt balls like my kid, over a cultured gentleman like me...(Dammit..!)

anndi- Snuck in on me while commenting! Marinade- Olive oil, sea salt, black pepper, rosemary, garlic (crushed!) balsamic vinegar, and fresh lemon juice! Darn tasty and tenderized it a bit, too!

I am pretty sure that Brad Pitt and George Clooney have made careers from the strategic use of facial stubble....it works

Those potatoes look amazing!

Great idea with the foil throw-away's, add some paper plates and you won't have to do any dishes.

Your son and his girlfriend make a nice looking couple.

I'm getting caught up now too...isn't it crazy when you take a little R and R break, your life seems to go extra fast right after that?! :D I'm sure we'll both get caught up soon!!

Now that IS such a gorgeous photo :)

What a good idea with the foil trays.... I might use that idea sometimes :) just sometimes though cos I have HUGE oblong french (green) and Spanish (Tericotta) oven thingies which I LOVE..... chicken and garlic lasagne in the oven as I type - sweet potatoe and lentil curry in the slow cooker simmering for tomorrow, 2 broccolli and cheese quiches just out the oven before the lasagne went in and 4 pints of Turkish lentil soup bubbling on the hob.....

Well, what else can one do when the weather is shit........

Have a happy Sunday...

x

Snowniece! You much like your adopted Uncle Buf- like to laugh at themselves..Makes it OK for other to laugh WITH you, instead of AT you.. You got potential, kid...
Marmy- Jeez! That's a lot of food, and it all sounds great! I've heard your weather has been rain, followed by more rain..

Ok, I have lurked around long enough - have often laughed at your comments on doggie bloggie!!!

I just had to ask - I cannot for some unknow reason ever make potatoes like that, I follow the directions and they never turn out - ok whats the secret????

buffalodick said...

I guess the tips I'd give would be, don't make the sauce too thin, cover for an hour and cook, uncover and cook for another 1/2 hr., sprinkling extra cheese on at that point...
