Scrounging Around The Freezer and Pantry..
I found some bone-in chix breasts.. Had just enough redskin potatoes to make a rack out of, so I dumped some cream O chicken soup, and seasonings on them- placed in a crock pot, and cooked for about 6 hrs. The result was actually quite good! The next cooking adventure right after supper was when I found some Rotini spiral pasta and decided to make pasta salad! Pasta, hard cooked eggs, cheese, chopped onions, chopped green and black olives, ham, chicken, all in an Italian creamy dressing, with red wine vinegar, olive oil, and spices.. Tasty, if a bit salty from the olives! Got rid of a lot of open jars that need to be replaced before the Holidays! I still might bake some choco chip cookies tonight, but we'll see..

okay, i am STILL waiting for you to come over and cook for me. I get home about 4:00, go to field hockey games, come home about 7:30 and then think about dinner for everyone. Can you help me out????
(Crock pot stuff sounds like a brilliant idea!)
was I late or did this happen after I left...
Do you put walnuts in your chocolate chip cookies?
VodkaM- Sounds like you stay busy! I wouldn't mind being a personal chef someday...
DogB- About 630PM, our time...
G-man- NO! I ended up making a cool treat that's like rice krispie squares, but uses peanut butter, Honey nut Oat flakes, slivered almonds, and chocolate chips.. Much chewier!
That crock pot dish sounds just like something I would make. I never fry anything, not even bacon. I either use the oven, the grill or the crock pot, and those crok pots make meat the most tender and juicy! YUMMY!
And dang, that pasta salad looks good, too!
mmm pasta salad...
Colorful pasta!
Buf, do you know...I love boiled eggs! :D
Bina- Crock pot key is don't cook it too long..
Tav- Yeah, sounded good to me too...
Mona- I do too!
Everything you make sounds yummy! Come be my personal chef then you can see England! :)
The way you create dishes on the fly is amazing to me. When I do it, the best I come up with are my now semi-famous pizza piles (photos do exist)
I want some too!!! Sheesh, I wanna come to your house BAD!!!!!
I think you should invite us ALL over to your house! :)
Looks yummy as usual.
I think this will be the year I buy a crockpot... For some reason, I have resisted.
Your a regular pot luck kind a guy. Sounds really good. The pasta salad especially!
Ake- I'm easy, but I ain't cheap! But for you, I give 20% off... :)
Sornie- The more you do this, the more it becomes a game!
Beth- We're in the book, just give 24hrs. notice.. and we''ll let you know if a table is available!
R.L.L.- Just let me know who's coming, so there will be plenty for all!
michelle- Get the oval big one, with the lock down top for transport!
deb- I am the potluck God.. fear me!
That just sounds yummy!
And who is cooking for your birthday on the 30th this month??? ;)
(((HUGS)))
how can you cook something for 6 hours?! oh the patience!
Jebus its just a little before 11pm here and now you have me hungry LOL....
Ake, we will have to share him LOL...
I to love boiled eggs, 3 minutes so they have soft runny yolks for dipping me marmite soldiers in :)
x
anndi- Pretty good gravy- added a little dry chix gravy mix to the goop, and it worked great..
Mona- Probably me, if anyone...
Pink- It's one of the things you can "set and forget"..
marmy- A poached egg on toast sounds good right now..
Gotta love a crock pot. It's my lifesaver on days when I don't have time to make dinner in the evening. I usually add paprika to the mix for a little color when I make the chicken dish you did. My husband says I'm the queen of one color meals. All beige, all orange, all brown...it just works out that way sometimes.
