Just Flew In From Yahoo News Discuss, And Boy! Are My Arms Tired!

Yesterday, I threw a few comments into this news article discussion. Something happened I had never experienced; Intelligent comments ran off the bigots, idiots, cons AND libs! I think they got bored or confused by actual dialog. Encouraged by this, I tried again this morning. The world was back to normal, with people thinking a nuclear weapon is similar to a good enema, all problems solved by thinking alike on all issues. Religons,cultures,traditions-Heck! We told you how to live, why keep fighting it? I love Americas' diverse offerings, but as you drive, dine, shop, you must remember-zealots are to be avoided! One dimensional people are either scary or boring- both can kill you!

Dad, Yahoo! is the bottom of the internet barrel, for news, for chat, for movie review discussions, etc... It's like a Fisher Price "My First Internet". I hate to sound like a whipper-snapper, but part of the problem is that Yahoo! makes their brand and services so accessible, that all the hayseeds, flag-wavers, mouth-breathers, and agenda-drones who can't be bothered to learn something else flock to the big red 'Y' en masse. Imagine if any boob off the street could own and operate a HAM radio. They'd screw it up for all the hobbyists. Such is the state of the Internet, and Yahoo is the biggest offender.

Hanging out with those people online can make you jaded, cynical, and under the assumption that everyone else out there is a moron. They totally mess with your chi.

Most of the web discussion I participate in is via blogs. The instant qualifier there is that most of the people who can't figure out how a blog works ARENT THERE. That's a nice little screening process. I'm sure it won't be the case in the not-too-distant future, as everything is getting easier.

Check out Technorati. It acts as a point of search for (effectively) all blogs out there, and you can focus in on a particular interest like News or Current Events.

I'll see if there's anything else I can find out there for you.

Boy Howdy! Am I ever cleared up on that point, ya hey! Jesus himself hung out with lowlifes once in awhile just to feel godlike on occasion! Smartassing aside, I appreciate your efforts, because you know how feeble and helpless I'm getting."Look! That's Jack the Ripper! Let's see if he needs any knives!"
