Leftovers From My Lobster Smackdown Entry...
I had nearly a quart of chunky lobster-crab chowder left after my entry to Heffs contest... I was never one to eat the same thing twice, but hate to have food go to waste! What to do? I came up with a chowder casserole! I took pasta shells(medium sized), poured a half a box in a buttered casserole dish, poured the chowder over them and stirred. The shells absorbed the liquid as it baked, covered..Uncovered and topped with bread crumbs, it was sweet, filling and tasty! And all gone!
Tonight I'm making a dish I'm willing to bet few of you have had!
Enjoy your week-ends, and drive careful!

Oh ! Bonus Points !
That stuff's too expensive to let go to waste, isn't it ?
Heff-This was good enough to be entered!
Oh no never waste food, my granny would turn in her grave!
Great use of extra food (never say leftovers). It's a Do-Over!!
not fair with the bonus points - leave it to buff to find a way around the system - now this is a kicked up mac and cheese for sure!
I used to waste so much food without thinking about it...it should be a crime. I have to be more careful with my food dollars now. I'm eating lots of leftovers.
Ake- You know me..I'm not cheap, I just always feel strongly about this aspect of American life..we waste water, gas, food, and take too much for granted here..
Good Cook- If I ever write a cook book, it will be for utilizing leftover food!
DogB- I'd love to get bonus points! I think Heff was kidding!
Jen- It's more like a game to me!

Brian- I don't lack ideas, I lack ambition!
Very nice dish/es. I tried to write a cookbook once. Found I lacked ambition AND ideas.

Highlander- I think it was a very successful leftover!
Loved your original menu, and your dish with the leftovers. Glad I wasn't the only one who had lobster with a "shell like a bullet-proof vest" - hehehehe. Great job!
eggy
never waste lobster..I think one can make anything into a casserole...that sounds great..what did you end up calling your mexi-cal-taco-burger...?I looked back a few weeks and saw you amde lobster crab chowder..that looks delish..I mad ethe lobster bisque for heffs and lobster pita pizzas..the are delish..!
Good thinking...I love to use leftovers into something new! One of my favorite things to cook using my imaginations
Buff, Am I seeing things or do you have pickle chopped up in there?
eggplant- I'll check yours out today! Thanks!
Robin- I'll take a look today!
Darngirl- You know me by now- that's what I do best!
Chris- You're seeing things! The green is celery bits
Clever way to use up your lobster leftovers! That's one item I want every last bite of. Usually I make a lobster mac and cheese.
Barb- I'm old school when it comes to seafood and cheese..I love them both, but not together!
Why oh why do I ALWAYS visit you when I'm hungry? Even when I'm full you make my mouth water! I love seafood, and this dish really does look and sound delicious (one that my picky kids might even enjoy!)!
Have a great weekend, my friend!
Ily- Visit anytime! It was tasty, I'll admit!
Love me some lobster right now, and mac and cheese, I gotta quit coming over here hungry too!
Chef- No cheese involved,,I love cheese, but not with seafood!
Whew! That is good news. I was thinking pickles was way too out there for me;) Celery makes sense. I should have guessed that.
