Christmas Food And Stuff...

What a neat Christmas couple of days! 1. The muffins were raspberry(real!).2. The peppers, chili powder, and Mexican oregano were a great present from Doggy Bloggie, from his recent trip to New Mexico! No one holds a "marker" on me- he'll be getting something in return, when I can think of something appropriate! 3. Danish meatballs for Christmas Eve. The dill makes 'em Danish instead of Swedish... 4. That is a Key Lime Cheesecake, with strawberry glaze, topped with fresh Kiwi fruit. It came out so good-looking, I must state here and now- I'm not gay.... 5. Stollen Bread. Imagine fruitcake with less sweetness, and yeast for rising. Rich, especially when you spread it with the honey-walnut cream cheese! The prime rib roast came out perfect- forgot to take a picture, though.. Got a waffle maker, stainless steel bowls and other neat stuff from the family. A good time is being had here, by all accounts! Hope your days were good as mine were...

I am so glad you don't live in my house - I'd weigh 300 lbs! I was excited to see all of the holiday goodies - especially the Stollen - this was a traditional Christmas bread when growing up.

Rog- Thanks! Most of it was up to my ridiculously high overkill standards!
odat- I coulda bet money on the comment you'd make! I got in touch with my girlie side once, and it was still pretty butch...
Ake- You Brits don't have enough goofy words yet- you have to go about inventing new ones!!?? Truth be told, I kinda like it... Sounds like something Mary Poppins would say-what? :)
dana- I need a "do-over" on the Stollen bread- wasn't as good as it will be next time!
Beth- When my wife said "That looks incredible" I knew I'd gone too far... God help me if I start making food good looking, instead of good tasting....
DogB- Thanks a ton! This is the real deal, and I can't wait to turn it into food! I owe you- but probably not for long....I lay awake nights when I'm indebted...
Snowniece- Arrhhh! The hook is stainless steel-good fer stirrin' pots and whatall... Don't be a-worried, Pirates can get about the galley right smart- even with me pegleg....Saw you got some cookin' tool presents- read them instructieons right careful, as I wouldn't be wantin' ingeries to me favorite adopted niece.... Ninjas- a plague on the scalawags says I...

Looks great!

I made two hetrosexual cheesecakes this year. One chocolate and the other plain NY style with cherries. We did a prime rib too and at the risk of bragging, it turned out perfect.

Good food-good times.

R.L.L.- That was the shortest description of bigamy, sex preference, and religion I've ever heard! We may need a ruling on
this one.... :)
Pink- Thanks! Happy New Year to you, too!
Finn- The prime took about 40 minutes longer than I thought it would. By the time it hit the table, well, it wasn't a scene from "Miss Manners"!!
casdok- Some yum!
leighann- Welcome to the blog! And thank you for adding another fanasy to my ever-growing list!!!
Tanya- DogB & me have only met on the blogs- cool of him to send stuff, huh? Fri. nite bowling and beer, Sat. morning standing on the shores of Reeds Lake, with about 300 other people who weren't hung over....
