Thin Cut Pork Steaks And Butter Noodles

I like a thin cut pork steak, as I usually quick pan fry them in real butter. By not cooking them forever, they come out pretty tender..with a higher fat content than a pork chop, they stay a bit juicier, too!
We had some no yolk egg noodles, that we discussed doing either Alfredo, or just buttered with parsley sprinkled on.. The buttered noodle won, and went well with the pork.
I used to run big Super Bowl parties at the club I belong to, but got tired of feeding 100+ people,, then cleaning up... Today, I'll stay home, watch the game, and hope I win the few bets I made!

That sounds just delicious and I probably would have chosen the buttered noodles as well. Enjoy the game tonight!

I love pork steaks. Grilled with some barbeque sauce! But quickly fried in butter sounds pretty darn good too!

I've seen those thin pork steaks at the grocery. I'll have to give em a try.

Did I hear a nasty rumor that you're betting on the Colts?

We're having a group of 10 of our friends over today. Jambalaya (done), Mufaletta Sliders (done), Relish Tray (done), Hoosier Pork Tenderloin Sliders to be cooked at half time. Our Superbowl tradition, Champagne (chilled, glasses shined, done)

Bring it on.

Oh yeah! I want some! Sorry I didn't comment on your cake post. I've been losing weight. I was a good girl and stayed away from that post! I HAD to!

Quite here at our home too and enjoying it. Turned down all game party invites and only cooking a few things.

I haven't tried pork steaks before. I've seen them often but just didn't get them, thinking they'd be dry. I now know better:)

DogB- Might be red chili day today..
T.T.- It's just a slice off a Boston butt roast...
Darngirl- Waiting for the weather to warm!
Ake- Nice and warm- but my pick didn't win!

What a nice, simple meal...and surely so much healthier than all of the processed crap people eat during the Superbowl.

I love buttered noodles. My mom used to make them for me all the time and sprinkle on dried parsley. It's one of my favorite memories

Buttered noodles and pork just naturally go together. I really like a thin cut pork chop too.

Good for you that you stayed home this year and watched a great Super Bowl game.

how disrespectful of the 100 people you fed to even let you anywhere near the clearing up afterwards...... you cooked you certainly shouldnt of been doing the dishes :(

my lads LOVE Pork and even thought I cant 'do' pork I still buy it for me lads, today Ive just put in the slow cooker a whole Gammon Joint which will cook in apple juice/cider apples and onions all day and it will carve all juicy and tender and I will wish I could eat it LOL
