An Outdoor Wedding,BBQ Sauce, and Pot Roast Sunday!

Today we must attend good friends daughters' wedding. It is to be held outside at a small park, with reception at same park afterwards. I was asked to make some of my signature Memphis-style bourbon bbq sauce. It's sweet, herby, some heat, with a smoky flavor courtesy of Jack Daniels (and a little Liquid Smoke!). It's about 90F, humid, and could rain-Yee-Hah!!! I'm already looking forward to Sunday when I'm making (in the air conditioned comfort of my own kitchen!) Beef Pot Roast. The recipe as follows:
Seasonings- onion powder, garlic powder, coarse ground black pepper, Lawrys seasoned salt.
Meat- 2 pcs of beef chuck about 2-1/2lbs. each. Roll, flop, turn meat in seasonings 'til coated.
Put seasoned meat on heavy duty aluminum foil(enough to wrap and seal meat completely).
Pour 1 can of cream o celery soup(unduluted) over meat, then a pkg of dry brown gravy mix over soup.
Wrap and seal tightly, roast for 3-1/2 hrs at 325F in oven.
Pour off juices into pan, thicken w/flour mixed with cold water, heat until gravy.
Meat is flavorful and dead tender, with gravy for potatoes, noodles, or on the meat.
Enjoy your week-ends!!!
Oh- A quick footnote! Thanks go out to Akelamalu (Awesome Dude Blogger Award!) Mike M (Fun Bag Friday Award) and Doggie B (Rockin' Blogger Award) you are very kind!

MikeM- Brazil nuts can kill you from falling off tree! Thanks for award!
jen- I'm not far away, you are!:)
akelamalu- If more people would wrap a beef chuck roast tightly before cooking, no one would ever eat tough pot roast again!
Snow- Have a good BBQ! Use that one great root beer made in Wisconsin for floats!

how cool about your awards! Not much 'cool' about an outdoor wedding reception this time of year... especially if you have to be dressed up for it! ick!

The roast sounds yummy! I love to cook potroast cuz it feeds a crowd and its easy. I havent tried your recipe but if I can get my printer to work, I may! =]

roast beast....mmmmmm so good. I tend not to heat up the place this time of year but boy oh boy does that sound good...and not to sound gross but I like the gristle after it has cooked a long time and tenderized itself to jelly...

Kate- Outdoor wedding was pretty warm, but nicely done! The recipe is virtually goof proof!
Dog B- I actually thought of that, and switched to an oblong slow cooker on high for 4 hrs! Came out on the money....

Beth- Just juice? 31 days? Good Luck!
Pink- It's been discussed, I have a web site reserved....
Lynda- Actually took some of the beef, chopped it up, mixed with BD's BBQ sauce and had beef BBQs!
Tanya- Don't even like bourbon, but in the sauce is delightful!
Steph- Live in Tenn. and don't like BBQ? Unbelievable!
HAR- This is a "no fail" recipe. Easy, too! How's those bass lures?:)!!!
