Mildest Winter I've Ever Seen! Knock On Wood!

As a lifelong resident of Michigan, I have watched winters get milder. I don't know if it's Global Warming or what, but I LIKE IT! People who make a living with snow (plows, ski resorts, winter related retail products, etc.) probably don't! It has helped some folks with their heating bill, and most retailers see more activity when the roads are clear. Salt trucks aren't wearing out the roads(or using taxpayer salt!)and the homeless aren't dying in cold-related incedents. I don't think alot of people realize when something goes well for you, somebody else may suffer the concequences! In Mich. I'm surrounded by more fresh water than anybody else on Planet Earth-do we take it for granted? Probably. There are many of you that live in states where it never snows-do you take it for granted? Probably! Think about the "other guy" today- for a perspective.

I'm here in Florida in a sleeveless shirt thinking about those poor cattle that are starving to death in the Plains. And the poor people who are without power again today.

I am still waiting to see how January and February pan out. LOL.

The first December we lived in Indiana, it was 70 degrees the week before Christmas.

In January, my boss was calling me to tell me not to come into work that day. Too bad I already had left.

As for thinking of others, I do have family in the Denver area, but they both are loving the snow. Years of growing up in California, I guess.

It's milder here too but we've got some nasty gales at the moment.

i think it's absolutely creepy and i don't like it! it's supposed to be 65 degrees here by the end of this week. i hate dirty snow and slush all over the city, but at least it feels right.

We don't have any snow. Well--'cept me.
And I don't need mittens and a hat. In fact I barely need a coat. I loathe winter, but this weather is totally freaking me out!!
