April Fools' Day! Mini-Meme Time! Humor Is The Theme...

The questions today are:
1. What was a memorable funny stunt you pulled on someone?
2. What was a memorable stunt pulled on you...
Me first!
1. Once we had a young(21 yr. old!) kid bowling as a sub on our team. We were hootin' and hollerin' as we were bowling well, drinking, and having a good time... I offered to buy a round, and as a newbe to boozing, the kid says "I'll have a wine cooler!" I looked at him like he was an alien, but said I'll take care of that.. The gals at the bowling alley had known me forever, and when I said "I want a wine cooler, berry flavored, with a tampon in it for a swizzle stick" they laughed, got one, and I served the drink... The league went nuts, laughing...
2. Golf outing, make up teams from work, very few real golfers... Scramble format- we had just played a long par 5 really well, a girl drops a stupid long putt and gives us a birdie.. Our team member keeping score calls to me and asks; "Do you have a pencil, Dick?" I answer "Yeah, but you don't have to yell it all over the golf course.." We are all rolling around on the green, while the people behind us are wondering what the heck is wrong with us...
Post something, everyone! Let's be fools today!

Believe it or not, but I have been a nasty devil when pulling some stunts were concerned! There was a professor at the university who was always making passes at girl students. So one night which was our 'freaking night' (we had freaking out nights at home when my parents went a traveling) we decided to call his wife at midnight. I told her that I was a nurse calling from the hospital & That Mr. S's girlfriend had passed away while giving birth to twins & that her dying wish had been to reach the babies to the father's!
We made several such hoax calls throughout the night, until they both became freaky & hysterical!

Then, I had no idea that a secret admirer had been asking for me on the phone & that my sister was pretending to be me & talking to him. & then one day they fixed up a date & he told her ( me) to wear one of my dresses he had liked. My sister said she wanted us to dine out & despite my insistence that I did not want to wear that dress, she 'bullied' me into wearing that one. Then we went to the restaurant & after a while she left me on the pretext that she would just go out & buy something & join me in a while. She disappeared & in strolled a perfect stranger who sat in front of me & who started off by saying how glad he was that I had worn his favorite dress & went bla bla , while I sat stunned without a clue as to what was happening! It was such an embarrassing moment!

I haven't done one since I was 10 and I replaced the sugar with the salt....bad idea. I was sent to my room.

As for one done to me...I am still expecting someone to tell me after 39 years, that I was placed on my parents' doorstep as a joke.... :)

Now that I've finished laughing over your comments I'll tell you what I've been thinking about, remembering today. It was 6 years ago when I got the call, at 2:30 a.m., from my daughter telling me that her labor had begun. I got dressed and started the three hour drive to her town, hoping to arrive before the baby did. There was such heavy fog that I felt all along the highway that I was pushing through a long and dark tunnel. I imagined the baby was experiencing much the same. By the way, he beat me.

michelle- I was buying luch for a customer once, who grabbed the salt shaker to salt down his steak- someone had loosened the top on purpose, because on the first shake, he had a mound of salt on the meat! I had to go to the mens' room to laugh until I cried!
annie- Good analogy! When my first niece was born, we were hustling to get there on time, got to the materity ward, when I saw my brother-in-law walk by, pale as a ghost, carrying a purse... Problem? He was about ready to faint, and babbling... Pretty funny, when you look back...

LOL...Those were good ones!

This was another hard day for me cause hub used to pull some good ones on me...but I laugh remembering the times I'd scream at him..."That's not funny!" (when indeed it was!)

Peace

I have this friend Don that has a nasty habit of leaving his old nasty piece of shit truck running while he runs in the party store for some beer..
Once on one of his runs we secretly followed him there, got in his truck, and drove it to the next party store and parked it out front. (we took the keys)..
We pulled up later, and acted very suprised that someone would take such a POS...

..Remember, "You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead"!!!

Have a great day....G

"Pencil, Dick". Now THAT is funny!

I don't remember anything this morning. I think I'm coming down with something. I looked up the symptoms and I believe I have "Spring Fever". AHHH!

My brother is biggest jokester of all times. In fact, he called me about three times yesterday (he lives in El Paso) and I wouldn't answer the phone cause I just KNEW whatever he told me, would not be the truth!
