My Sister- Calamity Mary Beth.....

I can't believe I've never done a post featuring my older sister. Her claim to fame is that she has made it to her mid 50s without accidentaly killing herself. As a child, she was a bit clumsy-the type that takes 10 or 20 feet to completly fall down(tripping, waving arms, hopping on one foot, then finally hits Earth). When she married her first husband, she lost the title as clumsiest in family to him. He could trip over NOTHING! Car wrecks not his fault, golf balls hitting him, not letting go of bowling balls in a timely fashion, etc. Then, they had their only child. Yes fans, they had bred true and created the clumsiest person in at least America. He was so uncoordinated, he took R.O.T.C. to avoid gym class. Once during gun twirling drill he hit himself so hard in the head with the rifle, he had to go to the hospital with a minor concussion. A rare month that one of them didn't see the inside of a Med Center!
Fast forward to Wednesday. We get a call from my sisters 2nd husband(this one is OK!) telling us my sister is in the hospital. They had gotten a riding lawn mower 2 months ago, and she enjoys mowing the grass on it! While putting it away in a storage shed, she thought she had put in park, while what she really did was put it in 6th gear! Did a "wheelie" into the shed wall, tipping the beast over on herself. At hospital for observation-just bruises and a sore stomach, kept overnight for tests. She's home now, and we all wait for her next accident.......

On behalf of the clumsey people of the world ... I'TS NOT OUR FAULT all you "normal" people should be aware of the sensitivity that we "balance challenged" people have.

Lynda- She'll be fine, except for the"C" gene!
Beth- I swear every word is true! I could write for hours on the mishaps of my sister, her 1st husband and their kid...
Akelamalu- Quite OK to laugh- You should have heard my brother and I on the phone when I called him!
Paul- I didn't even tell the story about when my ex brother-in-law got knocked flat with a thrown Jack-O-Lantern...
Pink- You're not clumsy, you just have a small apartment...

BD,
The mental image of your 50 year old sister riding that mower into the garage, while doing a wheelie, is priceless.
I am glad she is okay.

Now you've done it ... you gotta tell us all about the "Case of the Lambasting Jack-O-Lantern"

Holy Buffalo! Keep that woman away from the Dutch Borders!

Hope she's fine soon though..

har- Story got a little better-the shed was a snap together tough plastic unit. She went right thru the back of it before tipping over and getting covered with grass clippings ...
Paul- Not much to tell. He was walking down street at night around Halloween trying to look cool, when a convertable drove by and threw a Jack-O-Lantern at him-hitting him in the head and knocking him ass over applecart into a yard, head and shoulders covered with pumpkin goo and broken shell...
Dutchie- Seldom hurts others, just herself...She was laughing about it by Saturday...

omg, that was hilarious! I'm so glad she's okay, but goodness--what a riot! That's the kind of stuff you win ten-thousand dollars with.

My best friend Pitty-Pat is the same way!! But we are tied for the clumsiest eaters!! She and I even had a bet to see who would spill stuff on our dress first at her wedding. I, unfortunately, won. :S

I never laugh out loud when I read a blog but I just did.
Does your sister laugh when she is all cleaned up? She is lucky to be okay driving through a plastic shed and all!

BUF! This is funny, but also makes me feel concrened!
Please advice your sister to have her eyes examined because that is what usually happens with ppl who have a problem with their eye sight.

Snow- The first thing my brother and I ask after one of these incidents is "Are you OK?" When we know she is, Bawhahahaha!!!!
har- Oh yeah, she is a good sport about her mishaps! I think she likes the attention!
Kate- She's back to work on Monday....
Mona- She has seen more doctors in her life than your entire family! Her eyesight is fine, it's just getting her body to move along with what they see....

Oh no! I can relate to your sister honestly. I have a push mower and it's a wonder I haven't caused some sort of disaster with it. But you should have seen me trying to trim bushes on the hill that leads down to my pond. I fell flat on my butt twice! And every time I do yard work I come in with scratches all over me. Yard work is every week, so you can imagine...

Oh dear! I hope she's ok. I guess she's one of those "it-could-only-to" people.

LOL! This post cracked me up... I am glad to know that there are other "clutzes" out there...

Steph- I friggin hate yard work! While in college, I was a full time gardener for a car dealership one summer and lost all taste for it!
s*- She's fine, but is finding alot of people where she works knows about what happened-and the jokes are rolling!
MichelleAnn- I am really glad to hear from you! Hope things have been well!
