Melange Of Food Offerings...
The last few days have gotten me back into cooking a bit more than I have felt like in a while! I mix of this and that, no theme, no long range mission- just food to take here and there, or to eat at home.. In no particular order, a green bean/bean sprout/ham/mushroom/bamboo shoots creation we had as a main dish! Flavored with soy sauce, it hit the spot! Scotch Eggs... Took as a treat to friends that had never heard of such a thing- all disappeared.. Marinated steak on grill, Au Gratin potatoes, homemade white bread were the main meal today! No theme or message today, beyond enjoy your food- life is short!

where's my tray, I feel like I am at a buffet and I think I will take 2 of each please....the potatoes look really good but since I have never had a scotch egg (heard of em') I am most eager about them....
DogB- Hard boil some eggs, pack them like a snowball in your favorite sausage, bake at 350 for 20 minutes, turn the critters over, and bake another 20 minutes.. Chill before cutting in half(or quarters!) a little hot sauce, and appetizer is ready! Eats well hot or cold.. Sauces only limited to your imagination.. and I know your imagination will come up with something new here!
That's a feast fit for a king!
I love scotch eggs. We do a mini bite size version where you chop the hard boiled eggs - great for picnics!
It all looks delicious and those eggs are fancy! Are you sure you don't want to open up your own restaurant?
My lads LOVE scotch eggs, obviously I cant have them cos of the pork..... but I do remember how scrummie they were.....
You are just a man of so many talents....

T-lini- They are simple and always disappear when you bring them anywhere! You can actually make them into a deviled egg, with a casing of sausage- those are over the top!
Leighann- You are always welcome, drool and all.. :)
sornie- I have kind of a plan when the economy starts to turn... Thanks!
The Au Gratin Potatoes, steak and homemade bread got me. That sounds so freaking good!!!!!
I don't know what I like more, the smell of homemade bread, or the actual eating of it while it's still warm.
Okay, the eating part.
me too Bean!!!!
Big Beaver...how you doin? I'm worried about you. are you ok?
Beth- never worry about the Buff, worry more about things that matter!
I should NOT visit your site after school. I am starving. I make a mean deviled egg- always take them to parties. Now get your ass over to my house and make me something good.
Fabulous! Scotch eggs are one of my all time favourites. You can buy them in the shops at home but I've never seen them for sale here so I have to make my own. That said, homemade is always better than shop bought.
Best wishes
Did I say that our scotch eggs are rolled in breadcrumbs and usually deep fried.....
