Creative Spaghetti.. It's In The Ingredients!

I had a taste for something Italian, and checked the freezer for what could be done about it... I had some boneless, skinless chicken breasts, and some sweet Italian sausages. With a good basil mushroom red sauce, properly seasoned with garlic, onion, more basil, more mushrooms, oregano, etc., over spaghetti- this should be excellent! Broiled seasoned chix, simmered sausage, simmered sauce, all at once. put the meat into the sauce, after cutting into smaller, bite-sized pieces, and set on low. Grated Parmesan, and Romano for sprinkling on top, boiled spaghetti, heated bread, and boom! We were eating in no time (1-1/2 hrs., truth be told!). A fudgy brownie for dessert, and time for football(nap)! Odd, but most of the time you see chicken and sausage paired in a dish, it's either gumbo, or jambalaya...

We're doing Italian tonight, too...must be the cooler weather. It's got me craving platters of comfort food. (Unfortunately, no fudgy brownies await us!)

I have decided that basil and cilantro are TWO herbs I couldn't live without. Basil is number one. for sure.

Dog- Mon ami, El Peresidente, I freakin' love italian sausage!
Tavonlini- My wife loves brownies.. If it looks like I make them a lot, it's because I do!
VodkaM- Basil is your friend... Cilantro is only good in salsa... any place else and that stuff tastes like soap! Love, Your Buf..

That sounds REALLY good. My ex used to put the sausage in the sauce, but never chicken AND sausage. That sounds great. I'm gonna have to try it!

Jebus, thats looks good enough to eat LOL..... I cant do pork though so I would have to swap the pork sausage for beef or turkey ones :)

My friends husband use to have a sausage making business..... he made the most wonderful sausages you can imagine.... no pink wobblies for 'Roger the Sausage' his lamb and rosemary ones were to die for, its him that spoilt my family with right proper sausages and is now why I have to buy the most expensive proper sausages our butchers have to offer........ Roger the Sausage moved up north with his family so no more great sausages, his were just the best...

One thing I can't seem to get enough of is pasta. And cheese... I love cheese...

When I was pregnant with Chicklet, I couldn't go near italian sausage. Just the sight of it made me gag.

Beth- We'll keep the light on.. food and a place to crash will always be yours..!
anndi- Sight of a sausage(Italian, American, Canadian, etc.!) is always something pregnant women seem to dislike... go figure!
