A Week In Food At Our House...
We started the week light, as Sunday dinner was pretty big- an omelet with cheese and mushrooms sounded good.
Next day, feeling a little more ambitious, I baked some western style pork ribs covered in an Asian/Korean sauce- rice vinegar, brown sugar, 5 spice, soy sauce, garlic, onion, and sesame oil... I love that flavor, even though I don't care for that cut of pork! I also made some pasta salad, which with spinach salad dressing, came out really well!
Next night, I had chopped the leftover pork and made BB-Q sandwiches- with extra sauce, it was quite tasty..
We were't terribly hungry the next day, so it was the old favorite tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich...
The following night, I made a from scratch pizza, that we shared with my son...
Today's meal was a roast whole chicken, mashed potatoes, corn, and banana muffins- the Midwest Sunday dinner if there ever was one! The muffins browned a little darker than planned, but I think I used too much butter and sugar in the batter!
Hope you all have a good week- the weather here is improving daily

Okay I want this whole damn post for my dinner. I might be a bit full, but damn happy!
I am intrigued by your 'Illegal & Immoral' comment on K's site :) I am sure you have some good stories...
Ahhh good ol' grilled cheese and tomato soup! Is there anything more perfect for each other than those two?
I'm drooling over the homemade pizza - YUM!
I like the idea of posting the whole week's worth of meals at once. It gives us an idea of what's going on in your corner of the world!
lets see now - ok - I'll take whats behind door number 3...I am liking your tomato soup and I am liking the pulled pork sandwich ...
So much food!
How much do you charge per meal? It all looks fantastic!
ChefE- Speeding, undeage drinking, tresspassing, illgal fireworks, etc.- normal kid stuff!

DogB- Actually, those were my favorites this past week, too!
Mona- That was a whole week's worth!
Donna- we did have a couple of Wendys combos- which cost more than any meal I made! Weren't that good, either! Most fast food is a rip!
Hi UncleBuff,
That all looks good--especially the pork sandwich--I haven't had one of those since last year at the fair. Yesterday I was feeling ambitious, and I had some shrimp I didn't know what to do with, so I took some onion, garlic, and ginger and chopped it up, heated it in olive oil, poured in some honey and some pina colata mix and cooked up some shrimp in it, then served over rice. It was really delicious and turned out fabulously.

Snow- Kind of a coconut shrimp stir fry!
I'm planning on doing tomato soup and grilled cheese tonight!
WOW can I come live at your house Buff? :)
That whole chicken with mashed potatoes sound GREAT! I haven't made one in a while, and I'm not sure why. I'll just have to fix that next time my kids are here.
I'll take one of each please = )
You would be my girls' hero, they love all of this.
You go through a LOT of eggs in your house, don't you??
Tavonlini- and then you will rest..
ake- anytime!
Bina- It's so easy, and so good!
Katerine- I enjoy smart women, no matter what age! I had no girls, God knew I would spoil one rotten!
CDB- About a dozen every two weeks... is that a lot?
You guys eat well. Very well! That monstrous omelette with onions and sausage(?) is the one for us.
My oven is suppose to be installed on Wednesday!! Finally. It has been at least a month.
Duo- My wife and I split the omelette!
Hit40- I did a lot of outdoor cooking while our kitchen was being done! Our new stove(two ovens, one conventional or convection, 5 top burners, with an overhead microwave!) was a blessing!
Is there such a thing as to much butter...
DG-I didn't think it was possible either, but I did it!
Thanks for visiting my blog. Everything looks delish..
I want 'em all!
Denise- You're welcome, I'll be back...
Gene- You know that great Korean flavor!
Buff...?
Did you delete that last post?
....And another thing!
"Me and my Arrow"?
You and I must be the ONLY 2 people on the planet ALIVE that remembers that animated little story. It's never been rerun to my knowledge...
Old Bastard!!!
I want to order the frozen and pickled ones I found at that internet site! Also, coming back here and looking at your 'menu' I would like to place my lunch order, and I cannot decide what I want, since it all looks so damn good!
Yum! It all looks soooo good. We had Tacos last night. Quick, easy & ooooooh sooooo tasty!
G-man- Yep. First time I ever deleted a post. Didn't get the forum I'd hoped for- guess people don't want to think about what's really going on.... Oh and by the way, I found a used VHS of the movie, and "got" "The Point" for 3 bucks!
Chef- New food posting going up soon- with other "I wish I made that" items!
StarB- I think you'll like my Tortilla Soup...
Damn, that looks good!
RLL- I'll work, but I ain't cheap!
