Sunday Steak- Been A While..
I had a couple of hand trimmed steaks left in the freezer- all vac packed by me! They were huge! Photo is a half a steak- medium rare... Asparagus was fresh and sweet- not bitter at all. Dinner rolls and a white frosted brownie was quite enough today... Looking forward to doing nothing for rest of the day- as I had to make that meal twice- first for wife and I, then a to go plate for son- kind of a pain, but it's become the habit again..
Never made a potato kugel, but I think I'm going to try this week... I had it once, and thought it pretty good!
They are predicting 2-4" inches of snow for Monday, so if you hear faint screaming- that would be me...

I'll be screaming with you Buff - we are expecting the same storm here!
Steak looks WONDERFUL! We've got beer-battered talapia on the menu tonight.
I cant remember the last time I had steak...... I should get some this week.....
Sorry you still have snow, we have been having the most beautiful weather, with the odd rainy day....
be patient my dear Buff, spring will soon come to you.....
hugs x
Dana- Fish sounds good! Freezing to death doesn't!
Marmy- Longest winter we've had in years...
snow? dang thats not good - Steak? Now that is good!
A good steak sounds fabulous.
Good luck with the snow.
Are you kidding?! (About the snow, not the steak. The steak looks incredible.) What is up with MI weather? Didn't you guys hear it's April?
As long as it's not blizzarding on Tues, when my hubby has to fly home.
The steak looks deelish.
Snow? Crikey!
You and doggy are both on the Steakwagon. I hope they were rare?
DogB- No snow yet, but should have some slush by nightfall..
K- steak and potato soup tonight!
CDB- The only time I pull for Michigan State- tonight! Good Luck to both teams..
Ake- It was good, we just hadn't been eating a lot of steak lately..
Belle- It was thick, and between rare and medium rare..
Hi Unclebuf,
We got two days of me waking up to snow in the morning and then it was melted by the afternoon. I hope if you have to deal with more snow, it's that kind. I have hope Spring will prevail!!
:)
--snow*
*hopefully the kind you don't scream faintly to when waking up. hehe:P
$PM Have had no snow, and blue skies... go figure...
We had some good steak on Sunday too...I was bad, no greens though!
Snow, I only woke to thunderous rains coming down...I will wish your snow away...no magic powers like I wish :), but maybe it will help...
I thought I heard a faint scream from this direction, so I came to see what it was!
We are supposed to get snow tomorrow! TOMORROW! I might have to have a break down.
Chef- Clear as a bell here, and they predicted snow!
Mona- I'll scream tomorrow- that's the new forecast!
We got eight inches on Saturday. And I LOVED EVERY MINUTE OF IT! It was heavenly and gorgeous. And by the end of Sunday, it was gone.
Kate- For the love of Mike, when you get 8" and loved it- just say that back to yourself, and ask "Why did I say it like that?" Just kiddin' wit cha, kid!
Go to the bottom of this link, Muhuhahahahaaa !!!

You know, if someone would cook like that for me, it might make the snow worth it!
Jeanne- I don't doubt that you could!
Heff- It ain't the dog in the fight, it's the fight in the dog! 12 State BB-Q ribbons, 4 are blue.. so far! Sactioned by KCBS..
Just run my steak thru a warm room.
Yumm.....
Yeah....We got 4-5.
The asparagus that we've had so far has been WONDERFUL!!
Caryy On....G
StarB- Me too..
G-man- Didn't get one snowflake here!
Was that you I heard screaming in the cold, cold north while I was tanning myself in the Keys?? lol
Believe it or not, we're dipping into the 50s tonight.
Btw, I LOVE asparagus, but when I cook it, it comes out too mushy. I can never get it just right. :(
Scarlet- A cheap steamer- steam for 4-5 minutes- and it's done. When in the store buying it, look for a lighter green, rather than darker- and bend the stalks... if they are rubbery, don't buy them!
mmmmmmm frosted brownies...
I'm really, really excited to be able to cook again, soon. Hopefully very soon.
T.L- The way you guys are getting that house done- I know it will be soon.. proud of both of you!
