I'm still learning about posting pictures, some work some don't-but I'll keep trying! Our house was a contruction zone for almost 9 months! In one year we redid our 2 Bathrooms and our kitchen/dining room area, along with a hallway/entrance. We couldn't really change the room size in the kitchen area, so we opted to make it as effcient as possible. We paid for it as we went, so there was no humongous bill at the end of the job! We took a year off from the rest of the remodeling of the house- we needed a breather!
Hard to figure what to cook tomorrow( I have an upset tummy, work was very unpleasant this week) Maybe some kinda seafood, like shrimp and pasta in a light white cheese sauce....

Hey Uncle Buff,
You guys were some really patient people living like that for a year!!
And know what!? I have almost the exact same rocking chair!! My mom bought it when I was a baby and she passed it down to me. How cool!!

Wow! what a transformation. I love the pictures of your kitchen below. specially the dinning area!
Ps> how will the table accomodate ALL that food you cook :D
Hey! .. wierd! I have the SAME rocking chair too!!!
Everybody-The rocking chair was my first purchase of furniture before I got married! It has cat claw marks, creaks every rock, and now resides in the family room. Made of oak, it was the biggest wooden rocking chair I could find 35 yrs ago...
I hate all the mess and upheaval whilst remodelling the house but it is SOOOOOOO worth it don't you think?
ya know, it's so worth it in the end, but dirung the process?....OMG! And that was for 9 months?!
Ake- Yes, it absolutely was! The kitchen hadn't been upated in many years, and when cooking is your hobby- you should have good equipment!
Beth- 9 months seems like a long time, but with the shopping for stuff right along, mixed in with the projects work- well, it was OK!
This is inspiring. Omniman and I have been talking about remodeling our kitchen...but we haven't quite worked up the nerve to jump in. Someday, we'll be as brave as you--and we'll reap the rewards.
wow quite a difference!
I bet you are loving cooking in that new kitchen!
I love seeing the before and after of projects. It is hard to believe how perfect your kitchen looks now. Just about anything is possible, with the exception of making the room larger.
